QiQi: Susan’s Workshop

In Spring 2021, Children of Promise Asia opened Susan’s Workshop, a project which aims to provide an open environment for people with disabilities to express their creativity through craft making. Additionally, Susan’s workshop also provides a way for some of these people to make some money from these crafts.

QiQi, a young lady suffering from long-term mental illness, comes to the workshop often. She has learned how to make paper quilling art and really enjoys it. Through her time at the workshop, she was also invited to join a small group with others that have similar mental issues, and many have said that she has shown lots of improvement. She now has more self-confidence and is much happier! QiQi is also now a volunteer for Susan’s Workshop and has sold two of her works of art to supporters of CP so far.
